2023 Update Part.1
Wassshannin! Hope everyone’s March has begun positively and I hope you all have made some progress toward the goals you set for yourself before or at the beginning of the year. Just over 15% into 2023 I would like to use this opportunity to “check-in” with all my friends, family, past clients, and supporters. Going forward I will be publishing 6 total updates through the course of the year letting you know of the goals I have crushed so far, the goals I’m currently “loc’d” into, as well as some plans for goals I have later in the year. These kinds of newsletters will be posted every two months on the first Friday!
Kicking things off, I have been back to all my activities snowboarding, jujitsu, running, etc. and the knee had been feeling good during activity. Post-activity is a different story but again it’s still not terrible. Soreness and tendinitis, which I consider taxes to the game. As for competitions, it’s looking more like I won’t be competing until later in the year. As for my snowboarding this season, as you see in the photo above we’ve gotten child specialist certified this past Thursday and Friday through PSIA-AASI. Such a great two days on snow with my fellow Eldora instructors sharing our bags of tricks when it comes to teaching kids and even adults snow sports fundamentals.
Later this year, honestly before our next check in I have my freestyle level 1 certification. Certifying me to teach fun things in the park. I already love the park so spending the day with a group of rad kids teaching them steezy tricks sounds TOO MUCH FUN. SIGN ME UP! That's happening at the beginning of April so we’re loc’ing in until then. July, I and a few friends are signed up for a tough mudder but we will talk more about that next time.
What are some of your goals for the year? What have you accomplished so far? What are you currently working towards? What do you have coming up that you need to prepare for? Do you think you will need help or support and where will it come from? Think about these things as you check in with yourself! Drop whatever you’re comfortable with sharing into the comments!
